Product Description

Pyrimethamine HCL is used with other medication to treat a serious parasite infection of the body, brain, or eye or to prevent toxoplasmosis infection in people with HIV infection. This medication is an antiparasitic medicine that helps prevent parasites from growing and reproducing in the body. This drug is used in adults and children to treat or prevent certain types of malaria. Pyrimethamine HCLis generally not preferred as a medicine to prevent malaria while traveling. When used to treat malaria, this drug should be used together with a faster-acting anti-malaria medicine such as chloroquine or quinine.
