It is a white coloured free-flowing powderwhich is insoluble in water, organic solvents and dilute acids but it is slightly soluble in the alkali solution of with a concentration approximately equals to 20 percent.Microcrystalline Cellulose Powder MCCP is chemically inert in nature and is not degraded during digestion and low absorption rate. It is widely used as pharmaceutical excipients and can be used for tabletting of dry powder and can also be used as adsorbents,fillers, disintegrating agents, anti-sticking agents, and capsule diluents.
